Terms of use
By using Darky's RAT Checker, you agree to these conditions.
1. Authorized use only
You may analyze only files you own, files distributed for inspection, or files you otherwise have lawful authorization to inspect. You are responsible for complying with copyright, licence, privacy, computer misuse, and other applicable laws.
2. Prohibited use
- Do not upload unlawful content, stolen code, personal data, credentials, or confidential material without authorization.
- Do not attempt to overload, bypass limits, exploit, disrupt, scrape excessively, or interfere with the service.
- Do not use the service to facilitate malware deployment, unauthorized access, harassment, or other harmful activity.
3. Nature of the analysis
The service performs automated static inspection and decompilation. Results can be incomplete or inaccurate, especially for obfuscated, encrypted, packed, dynamically loaded, native, or environment-dependent code. A low-risk result does not prove that a file is safe, and a finding does not by itself prove malicious intent.
4. No execution and no guarantee
The application is designed not to execute uploaded JAR files. However, no software or hosting environment is infallible. Use the service as one investigative tool, not as the sole basis for security, moderation, employment, legal, or financial decisions.
5. Availability and limits
The service may enforce file-size, frequency, concurrency, storage, and time limits. Access may be slowed, rejected, suspended, or discontinued for maintenance, abuse prevention, technical limits, or any other operational reason.
6. Temporary reports
Analysis results are temporary and may disappear before the displayed expiry time because of restarts, deployments, maintenance, or storage limits. Download any report you need to retain.
7. Disclaimer
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or malware detection.
8. Responsibility
You remain responsible for files you upload, decisions you make, and consequences arising from your use of the service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive loss arising from use or inability to use the service.
9. Intellectual property
You retain any rights you lawfully hold in uploaded material. You grant the operator a limited, temporary licence to copy, parse, transform and display the file solely as required to provide the requested analysis. You represent that you have authority to grant that permission.
10. Public accusations and misuse of results
You must not present an automated result as conclusive proof that a person committed a crime, intentionally distributed malware, or engaged in fraud. Reports must be interpreted in context and independently verified before moderation, publication, employment, contractual or legal action.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify the operator against third-party claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful upload, lack of authorization, misuse of a report, violation of another person's rights, or breach of these Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory legal rights, disputes shall be brought in courts located in Ontario, Canada. Before filing a claim, the parties should attempt in good faith to resolve it through the official DarkyDev support channel.
13. Severability and entire agreement
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect and the invalid provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Legal page form the agreement governing the service.
14. Changes
These terms may be revised as the service evolves. Continued use after publication of updated terms constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
